Schantz MakerSpace – August Maker Monday Meeting

7:00–9:00 PM
Romich MakerSpace

Join us for our August Maker Monday meeting as we welcome Rob Baumgartner from Schantz Organ as our featured presenter.

Rob has put his 3D printer to work solving real-world problems in the workplace. He will share a variety of projects he has designed and printed, including custom shop tools, fixtures, and jigs that have improved efficiency in the shop. In addition, he will bring along several specialty items he has created to demonstrate the versatility and practical value of 3D printing.

Whether you use a 3D printer at home, at work, or are simply curious about what these machines can do, you'll come away with ideas and inspiration for your own projects.

We'll also spend some time discussing the rapidly growing field of robotics and explore ideas for future introductory classes. As robotics becomes more accessible to hobbyists, educators, and businesses, we'd like your input on the types of classes and demonstrations that would be most valuable for our MakerSpace community.

As always, the second half of the meeting will be devoted to questions, troubleshooting, and repairs. If you've taken one of our 3D printer classes or are experiencing problems with a printer or other maker project, bring it along. Our instructors and experienced members will be available to help diagnose problems and get you back up and running.

We invite everyone to join us for an evening of practical ideas, new technology, and conversation with fellow makers. New visitors are always welcome.
