June 16th Maker Monday

Join us at the Romich Maker Space, 13875 Cleveland Rd. Creston on Monday June 16, 2025 from 7-9 pm for an exciting evening with longtime MakerSpace contributor Elliot Liggett. Elliot has been an integral part of our group since the beginning and is well-known for his engaging demonstrations at Maker Faire, where he showcases his custom-built devices that detect muon particles—tiny, high-energy components of cosmic rays that continuously pass through us and our atmosphere.

At this month’s meeting, Elliot will introduce us to the fascinating science behind muons, walk through the design and components of his detectors, and explain how they’re assembled. Even more exciting—he has the parts and know-how to build five of these devices, and we're exploring the possibility of offering a two-day workshop for those interested in constructing one.

Hands-on Help with 3D Printing
In the second half of the meeting, we’ll offer live troubleshooting for 3D printer issues. If you’ve taken one of our classes and are having trouble with your printer—whether it’s hardware, software, or print quality—bring your machine in. Our experienced members will be available to assist with repairs, part replacements, or setup advice.

Whether you're curious about particle detection or just need help getting your printer back in action, we hope you’ll join us for a productive and engaging evening.
