March Maker Monday meeting. Mar 16, 2026 7pm. Location: Romich Maker Space , 13875 Cleveland Road, Creston, Ohio 44217
Our featured program will be presented by Clayton Saurer, an 8th-grade student who has started his own laser engraving business. Clayton will share his experiences getting started with laser engraving and will also demonstrate the small laser engraver we are considering for use in an upcoming introductory class.
We have also recently completed our 3D printer build class at Cleveland Gear, where we used the Bambu A-1 Mini printer for the first time. During the meeting, we will have a discussion about future classes and whether we should continue using the Ender 3 printers or transition to the Bambu machines for our workshops.
In addition, Jennifer Winkler has informed us that representatives from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland plan to visit the meeting. They have heard about our work and are interested in learning more about the classes and capabilities of our MakerSpace. It would be great to have a strong turnout for this meeting.
As always, the second half of our meeting will be dedicated to troubleshooting and support for anyone who has taken one of our 3D printer classes and is experiencing issues with their machine. Elliot Liggett has helped repair printers for 40–50 participants since we began offering these classes, and he reports that the majority of problems are related to clogged filament.
If you’re having trouble with your printer, bring your machine with you, and we’ll do our best to help you get it running again.
